Calcite:  Blue

As you'll read below, amongst blue calcite's metaphysical properties are that it enhances dream life and also helps us to remember our dreams.  After purchasing a beautiful blue calcite from Rock 'N Glass, I cleared it by placing it on my window ledge for a couple of nights during a full moon.  I then held it a few moments and I felt an incredible calmness course through me, and that floored me!  That same night, I dreamt, and what's incredible is that I remembered my dream!  This is amazing to me because I don't dream that often, and when I do, I don't have much recollection of my dream.  And, not only did I remember my dream, but I dreamt with a beautiful Himalayan cat that shared life with me years ago.  He was very close to me.  He passed away and I'd always wanted to "feel" his presence around me, the way I do with other pets that have lived with me and who have crossed over.  This cat, however, had never approached me once he passed away.  And then, the night I put the blue calcite next to my bed, he appeared in a dream and I was able to remember it vividly!  Unbelievable!

Blue calcite can occur in massive or rhombohedral form.  It's found in abundance in Mexico, and the specimens with the deepest color have been discovered in South Africa.
