Pinewood Cemetery, Coral Gables, Florida

Pinewood Cemetery, Coral Gables, Florida
I've seen this lovely, and spooky, cemetery at dusk.  I haven't been on the grounds, but rather, I've seen the graveyard from just outside its coral rock perimeter wall.  This graveyard is right by my brother's house.  Whenever my family gets together at his house, a big group of us, including dogs, takes a long walk throughout this beautiful, old neighborhood and we always pass by Pinewood Cemetery.

I have found a wonderful blog called Southern Spirit Guide:  A Guide to the Ghosts and Hauntings of the American South that contains an article on Pinewood Cemetery.  I was thrilled to find it because there is remarkably little information about Pinewood on the web.  I e-mailed a link to my brother.

I'm glad you found the information useful! It took me a few days to find the information scattered across the web and cobble it into an article. I just saw your article on the Biltmore Hotel. It's fascinating! I didn't know about the murder or the fox-hunting.

Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog!

I hope to visit the Biltmore this coming spring. The Biltmore offers a haunted tour, and my brother is going to do a little research into it to determine if it's worth taking it.

Miami's present-day fox population includes descendants of the foxes imported by the Biltmore. Thankfully, no one hunts them!
